By the sea, on a public beach in Beirut frequented only by men, Reda, Adel and Quassem are not waiting for a miracle: they are watching their entire country fall to ruin. Dima El-Horr’s camera captures these men, united in their disillusionment and haunted by the ghosts of the civil war, bearing the burden of their melancholy with remarkable dignity.
